He wondered briefly if it would be appropriate to include a little tail-wagging too, but decided against it - Mommy might interpret it as him trying to be funny.
Ashley ran a hand over her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose.
“Maker’s balls Loki. You can thank your lucky stars that I happen to go to vet school where ‘the dog ate my homework’ is an actual valid reason for not submitting one’s homework in time or I swear, you’d be sent to live with the neighbors for a month. They have kids! And a cat! So you just think on that next time you feel that my homework tastes better than the premium range DOG food I buy you.”
