l I’m off to see dad next weekend for the first time since I wrote that, nearly three months ago now.
The intervening time has not been kind. The disease has sped up quite a lot faster than we thought in our worst nightmares, the original estimates of 3-5 years have been revised down dramatically, we probably now only have a few months at most with him.

Out for the rest of today and tomorrow morning, I’m off to the LotR movie marathon at the IMAX with the most lovely wenchlatte :)
The plan is to have dinner and probably some wine first. Showing starts at midnight and runs until 10.30 am tomorrow. I expect there’ll be a break between each film - hope I’ll manage to stay awake!
